It's July, and I came into this month with immense gratitude for the growing cadre of supporters who continue to propel this campaign forward. I'd like to showcase how volunteers help us build a powerful movement to defend democratic values and secure a victory in District 100.

HOST A PARTY

Five Ballwin friends have already hosted house parties for me, and a few more will take place soon. These events have brought in literally thousands of dollars in donations, and each dollar raised helps me to reach more voters. These events also put me in rooms with voters I might never reach otherwise. A house party delivers a lot of value. SHARE ONLINE

About a week ago, a friend shared my Facebook fundraising appeal with her audience of friends and followers - she said instead of going to happy hour she was donating to my campaign, and urged her friends to do the same. This small act led to hundreds of dollars donated, mainly from first-time donors. Online advocacy is incredibly powerful, so please promote my campaign within your virtual networks.

CANVASS

Every weekend since April, volunteers have helped me knock on doors in District 100. So far, 35 volunteers have canvassed with us at least once - and 15 of them have come back again to canvass with us. I am so proud of this! Like any other skill, canvassing gets easier with practice. TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS

Sometimes I receive campaign contributions out of the blue from folks living nowhere near District 100. When a contribution is unexpected, I send a thank you note and ask how they heard about my campaign. Very often, a friend of theirs is a supporter, and they were talking about it. I just love this - and it has happened several times already. I try to imagine the conversation. I hope they were talking about not giving up hope in local action. I hope they were talking about our strategy to build grass roots support for progressive policies and keep building it until we have enough power to vote out every corrupt politician, every fascist, and every anti-democratic authoritarian. I hope they said grassroots efforts are rising not just in Ballwin, but in every zip code, in districts all across Missouri and all across the United States. I hope they said you don't have to live in District 100 to support the work that's already happening there. Please know, your words resonated so powerfully that a stranger decided to stand with you and in solidarity with us. I am incredibly moved by that, and I believe it will change everything.

ENDORSEMENTS

I'm really proud to share the news about a few more endorsements. Unions offer strength in numbers for their members, and I am proud to have the support of UAW and CWA.
