Happy Summertime! Whether it's time on the lake, concerts in the park, a ball game, camping or a cookout, I hope you're finding time for summer fun. I hope you've found a way to beat this heat. 

I want to offer a huge thank you to Bob and Cathy Pickard for hosting an excellent reception for me at their home. And I'm so thankful for everyone who attended that event, especially those who signed up to volunteer or donated to support my campaign.

This past month I was honored to receive a few more endorsements.

I also visited the picket line where the Teamsters Local 688 is standing up for collective bargaining. They have held their ground here since early May, giving us all a master class in the power of cooperation and persistence.

I hope you're all finding your own ways to take local action ahead of the August 4 primary election. As we canvass through District 100, my team is encouraging everyone we contact to get informed, get ready, and make a plan to vote. And online we're sharing content like this to educate voters about important ballot measures.

Voter turnout is the key to halting the harmful policies of the Republican-led legislature, and you can do so much to drive voters to the polls!

On the weekends and even during the week we are knocking on doors, sharing news about my campaign, inviting neighbors to our events, and getting the word out about the August ballot measures. We've had reliable turnout at these events, and I am so proud of our strong core of dedicated volunteers.

If you haven't canvassed with us yet, you're always welcome next time! 

We canvass because it is effective, but there are voters we'll never reach that way. Maybe they aren't home or they can't come to the door when we happen to knock. Meanwhile, it's getting hotter, making it really taxing to be out there, and to be honest, not everyone has the stamina to get out and canvass safely. And that's OK! There are other ways to support the campaign.

For example, you can phone bank with my team. Even if you've never done it before, we can get you all set up with a call list and the tools and the training you need to reach critical voters in District 100. You could make all the difference. Sign up here for our June 15 phone bank training.

Another way you can help is to like and share my content online, and tell people in your network about my campaign, especially if you have connections who live here in District 100. Word of mouth and social media algorithms are powerful things for my hyper-local campaign. 

And of course, please join me at upcoming events that we'll promote through Facebook and this newsletter. It's going to be an exciting summer!
